Amazing authentic Chinese. Great service and ambience. Only knocking a star since I do feel it’s like 15-20% too expensive. If it was priced better would be 5 stars and I’d come every week.
They deliverer. So that was amazing! Fast & friendly! We ordered Kung Pao chicken, beef & broccoli, with vegetable lo mein. First of all the Kung Pao chicken was NOT spicy whatsoever. Like not even a little! And the other two dishes all tasted the same as the kung pao. Very bland, no difference in flavors. Ehhhh... Chinese is too expensive for every dish to taste the same.
I came here with a customer we were in the mood to grab some Chinese food and he was right by here and having seen so many of my yelp friends who love this place. it was a no brainer. Our lunch line up consisted of; Hot & Sour Soup - thick and rich with flavor Hot & Crispy Chicken - deep fried chicken with a toss in spicy sweet sauce Mongolian Beef steak - with scallions, black pepper and onions sautéed together. Beef with Black Pepper - it consists of sliced beef that is first marinated in a soy sauce and wine mixture tossed in a black pepper sauce with, onions, and green pepper served on a bead of lettuce. the green tea was very good too. The service was very good it wasn't too busy so we got a nice booth. definitely will return for more yummy Chinese goodness.
Been coming here for over 30 years. Service and food are always excellent. Owned by the same kind, efficient family for all this time. I get Peking Shrimp which is my all time favorite, plus brown rice and spicy soup. Their shrimp is high quality. It's the best Chinese food in the county and they're well known for their homemade dim-sum.
Back when I worked and lived in Camarillo, I would come over to Peking Inn all the time for their lunch special. I’ve vividly remember how friendly they were, and how flavorful the food was. The lunch special prices were reasonable too. We were visiting a few of our friends that own store in the same shopping center, so decided what the heck let’s pop in and do the lunch special like old times. Just as remembered, the restaurant had the same 90s decor and friendly folks there to greet you at the door. And based on the clientele already seated, you could tell this is still very much a locals favorite restaurant. They also take a traditional approach towards what they offer. We went to wash up before eating, then came back to find T, water, and fried wonton strips with dipping sauce. A few minutes later, our super friendly server came over and asked if we had any questions. We had a late breakfast, so decided just to order a couple of soups. Everything was delicious as remembered and again, stellar service from the staff. The only thing we were a little surprised to see was the prices on the menu. Most Chinese restaurants that we frequent Ventura County have lunch specials ranging between $12 and $14 per plate. the average lunch special here was about $16 per plate. And like other lunch specials, it comes with soup and such as well. We were just surprised to see dinner prices for lunch specials. Great service, good food, and nice atmosphere always make up for a successful restaurant. Peking Inn hits all of these and makes it no wonder that they have been in business all these years now.
